The Originator Profile Collaborative Innovation Partnership (OP-CIP) (Chief Director: Jun Murai) is advancing the “Development and Social Implementation of Originator Profile(OP)” project. Following the 2024 fiscal year, Tottori Prefecture has decided to participate in this demonstration project. The goal is to implement OP technology on publicly accessible sites such as the Tottori Prefecture website, marking the first implementation by a local government.
On October 7, Tatsuya Kurosaka, Secretary-general of OP-CIP, visited the Tottori Prefectural Government Office and met with Governor Shinji Hirai.
This initiative will demonstrate a system where internet users can confirm through OP technology that articles, such as disaster information, and prefectural advertisements are indeed issued by Tottori Prefecture and have not been tampered with. It aims to enable them to determine whether information circulating during disasters or other events comes from clear sources, such as local governments, life infrastructure companies, or media companies.
